The Personal stuff...
Theology and Family is born of my daily routine - my start in working towards my Master's of Theology while homeschooling. I am new homeschool mom (thanks 2020) and I know that between and next spring I will be consumed with school - the kids and my own. How will I do this? Who else is doing it with me? My hopes are that by the end of it and through it, I can rally a community of mothers who are intentional about Christian education for their children, and also continuing the Christian education of themselves.
I went to school in the 2000's to teach children how to read and write. I earned a Bachelors of Science in Middle Grades Education in 2010 and later certified in other subjects, including Early Childhood and Special Education. I taught for a short while, before my children were born. During that time, I had a "come to Jesus" season that convicted me of awful habits and attitudes - you can read about that time and the hard wake up in The Complainer's Journal (check the adult books page). Now I raise them and write (mostly blogs and posts) on the side. My hopes are that my example teaches them about the priorities and passions that make life precious and exciting.
God's help and leading into writing and self publishing has brought me to a handful of public speaking experiences, podcasts, and a local television interview. Because I learned amazon publishing, I was able to create a fundraising book for a local addiction rehab center. The marketing that is required for book sales got me into simple drag and drop design, and I was able to create a home site for a grassroots ministry in Pakistan that ministers to slave children, distant dark magic tribes (for real), orphan children, and basic aids, including preaching, feeding, and providing bibles. If you are interested in supporting these ministries, shoot me an email, please!
The materials in my children's books are a unique mother-son collaboration, which my young fans are instinctively drawn too, while parents feel a pleasant nudge of nostalgia. They are not high pro quality books, but rough as they are, kids (and not just my own) love them for the content and color. They were my first toe dip into publishing.
I garden a lot and hope to build up my own backyard nursery and chicken coop. I have read bits everyday about Biblical topics and ancient Jewish history for the past decade. I hope it helps me with my Master's degree! I'm pretty much a passionate tumble weed who loves so many things and just follows the breeze. Which is funny that I write that, noticing now, since "wind" is often how the Holy Spirit is described. Yes, I work to follow the Holy Spirit through every season, project, and relationship. Keep checking to see where the Spirit takes me. Currently, I am writing a mealtime devotional for families - get the updates and deets by following me on IG.

I am excited to see God's plan for, "The Complainer's Journal. God willing, I will continue to write about subjects that are focused on grace, forgiveness, love, and our Saviour Jesus Christ. I am grateful that God has guided my love of writing into a ministry that reaches you.
Here is what God says ABOUT ME and ABOUT YOU:
"...if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
"For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus." - Galatians 3:26 (NASB)
